Background
Our client is an established family owned business selling to multiple retailers. The management team has a strong passion for contributing to a healthier lifestyle of its end consumers. The stagnating economy meant a requirement to develop new ‘big’ commercial ideas and products aimed at maintaining the successful growth record to date
The issue
There was a high dependency on two large customers and the cost base was too high. Thinking outside the box was required in order to generate new ideas for new product development and a new approach for a commercial strategy.
The outcome
We helped our client with thinking through an innovation framework and provided backup services. The programme resulted in NPD’s plans, associated with new customers development plans. While testing the new product range, our client was able to secure immediately a new large multiple retail customer, which diluted down their previous dependency and risk.
